Base Requirements

In order to join our TalkLife Experts, you will need to possess the following:

  • Full training and accreditation in your country of residence. Clinical practitioners must possess the highest clinical license in your state of residence , allowing independent clinical practice. TalkLife Experts only work with clients in the state(s) or regions where they are licensed and allowd to practice independently.

  • Minimum of 3 years direct experience. 

  • Professional malpractice liability insurance policy.

  • Ability to use video conferencing software with a stable and consistent internet connection. 


Why should I become a TalkLife Wellbeing Expert?

What are the licensing and practice qualifications?

All therapists must be clinically licensed to provide mental health treatment, meeting all requirements by their respective governing body.  Counsellors and Psychotherapists must be registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). They should hold accreditation to the standard of at least Member (MBACP) or Accredited Member (MBACP Accred). Psychologists must be registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).


All Life Coaches / Coaches must be accredited by their respective industry body (ICF, IAC).  


All Professionals must also have Professional Indemnity Insurance that allows them to service users globally and provide proof of such. 


What are the monthly fees for advertising to be a TalkLife Wellbeing Expert?

At TalkLife, we charge a simple monthly fee, without any hidden or additional per session charges. The monthly rate gives you unlimited access to our global community to schedule as many sessions as you would like. We charge £75 plus VAT per month or a discounted rate £150 plus VAT per quarter. 


How does the booking system work and will there be any training?  

Sessions will be booked via our premium booking service on Calendy where we provide you with a subscription that can be used to manage all of your online caseload. The booking system will fully sync with your existing calendar and you have the flexibility to adjust your schedule on a day by day basis. We give you full control and share notifications with users of upcoming sessions, reminders or missed appointments. 

Once a User has booked a session, you will immediately receive an email confirmation and this will then appear in your calendar.  This is a great opportunity to email across any terms and conditions or onboarding documents you would normally use. Calendy allows for integrations with other calendars, as well as video platforms and billing / payment apps.  Induction training will be provided for all TalkLife Wellbeing Experts – please contact us to arrange. 


How do I get paid? 

You will be able to list your services and set your own fees within your Calendy account. Payments for sessions will be paid straight to the Paypal or Stripe account you provide during the set up.  You will have full control over your hourly rates and the flexibility to adjust these on a case by case basis if needed. TalkLife will not take any fees or overheads from your sessions outside of the fixed rate per month to access the service. 


What is the cancellation policy for the clients?

You set your own cancellation policy with Users and provide them with your standard T&Cs once they have booked. You will receive confirmation at the time of booking which will provide the information needed for you to contact the user. 


What is the termination / cancellation policy for the Professionals with TalkLife?

Wellbeing Experts can cancel their subscription at any time by providing 30 days notice.


What is the application process for becoming a TalkLife Wellbeing Expert?

  1. Fill in the sign up form and choose either a 3 month or 1 month subscription membership.

  2. Upload the required documents including your accreditation certificate, Insurance Certificate, DBS check (for therapists), and bio information and picture. 

  3. Read our terms and conditions and confirm you are happy with them on the sign up form

  4. We will then review your application and get back to you with the next steps for getting you live on TalkLife!
